In a place like Northshore Waterfront, where families, seniors, working adults, and children all share the same walkways, lifts, and spaces, living cohesively isn’t just ideal. It’s essential.
As our neighbourhood becomes more vibrant with every new class, event, and resident, we’re reminded that kindness is the glue that holds a community together. It’s the spirit that turns a HDB block into a home and strangers into neighbours.
Hold the lift when someone’s coming
Lower the volume in shared spaces
Let your neighbours go first when you can
Small gestures go a long way in creating a culture of courtesy
If something bothers you such as loud noise, corridor items, or shared space use, speak with your neighbour calmly. Respectful conversations often resolve problems better than complaints or enforcement
Pets bring joy but also responsibilities
Always clean up after your pet
Keep pets leashed in public areas
Don’t let pets urinate or defecate near playgrounds, walkways, or corridors
Cleanliness and safety are part of community care
Many residents have shared concerns about cigarette smoke and vapour drifting from balconies and service yards into neighbouring units. This affects young children, the elderly, and anyone with respiratory issues.
If you smoke or vape, we ask for your cooperation and consideration
Avoid smoking or vaping at balconies or open service yards, especially when windows nearby are open
Do not smoke or vape in stairwells, corridors, lift lobbies, or void decks. These are prohibited areas under NEA regulations
Never throw cigarette butts or vape pods out of windows — it is dangerous, illegal, and inconsiderate
Use designated smoking areas or walk to a nearby open space where no one is nearby
Under Singapore law, it is illegal to purchase, use, possess, or sell e-cigarettes and vaping devices. If you are currently using such products, we strongly encourage you to stop, not just for legal reasons but also for the health and safety of everyone around you.
